HQ Troop, 1st Airborne Recce Squadron (Just Ordinary Men) Based in Southern Kent but with members further afield.

Just Ordinary Men is a World War 2 living history and re-enactment group which has rapidly earned a reputation, both nationally and internationally, for it's dedication and historical accuracy. This reputation is due, in no small part, to extensive training regarding weapons safety, authentic field craft and attention to the smallest detail in terms of personal and field equipment and military bearing. Accurately recreating the role of a mobile recce troop.

Just Ordinary Men brings to life scenes that were familiar in many theater's of operations. Although we take our role seriously we make living history and re-enactment an interesting, educational and enjoyable experience for members and clients alike. To make things even more interesting for our members and clients we are able to portray three different units of the Airborne Division.

We are very active throughout the summer and winter months attending small and major events and shows, including some abroad and have use of a unique and extensive facility that enables us to undertake training day's and weekends (when not at events) for eleven months of the year when the majority of other units 'close down' during the winter. It is this unique aspect that enables us to constantly expand our expertise and enhance our knowledge of being an Airborne Soldier during World War 2.
