80 Provost

The purpose of 80 Provost is to promote, through a physical presence at displays, the role that the Royal Military Police, both Regular and Reserve forces, had in their Provost Operations role (their work "in the field", rather than in their General Policing Duties) during the period 1980 through 1989.

We do this by placing people and equipment on display at Military Shows throughout the United Kingdom and possibly Europe (where possible). This is intended to give a true representation and feel of the Regiment, and those that served in it.

To underly this, the fictional unit of 80 Provost has been created, a unit number (rather amusingly) not used by the RMP in the 1980s. Learn a little more about the work that the RMP performed in its' Provost Operations role, and the taskings involved.

You will also find helpful hints, photographoic evidence of the period on our website, and other helpful information to assist you if you intend to join us, or inform you if you merely have an interest in the period.

We look forward to meeting you! Exemplo Ducemus!
